1. What emptygpt does

emptygpt (“the Service”) is a writing-assistance tool that rewrites English-language AI-generated academic prose so it reads more like human writing — varied sentence rhythm, idiomatic phrasing, structural variation — while preserving meaning, terminology, and citations exactly. The Service is built around language models from Anthropic and uses third-party AI-detection vendors (GPTZero, ZeroGPT) only as reference signals shown alongside the rewritten output. It does not generate original research, and it does not optimize for or target any specific AI-detection platform.

2. What emptygpt doesn't guarantee

The Service does not guarantee any specific outcome on any AI-detection system, including (without limitation) Turnitin, Originality.ai, GPTZero, ZeroGPT, Copyleaks, or future services. These platforms use their own proprietary classifiers and are not in our optimization loop. The reference scores you see in the rewritten result describe how the listed public detectors classified the output at the moment we ran them — they are not predictive of any other platform's judgment, and they are noisy enough that the same input can score very differently on consecutive runs of the same detector.

3. Permitted use

You may submit text that you own or are authorized to rewrite. You are solely responsible for complying with your educational institution's, employer's, or publisher's academic-integrity, plagiarism, and AI-disclosure policies. Submitting content you do not have rights to, or using the Service in ways that violate those policies, is not permitted.

4. Prohibited use

The Service may not be used for academic dishonesty, plagiarism, or the circumvention of any institution's, journal's, or employer's AI-disclosure or AI-use policies. Specifically prohibited:

• Submitting AI-generated work as if it were entirely your own when the receiving institution requires AI disclosure.
• Using the Service to attempt to defeat plagiarism detection or academic-integrity review.
• Submitting content you do not own or are not authorized to rewrite, or content that contains third-party personal data without consent.
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, extract, or leak the Service's system prompts, protected placeholders, model parameters, or scoring heuristics.
• Automated scraping, denial-of-service attacks, or abuse of the rate limit / quota system.
• Use by individuals under 13 years of age (or the local minimum age for online-service consent, whichever is higher).

Violations may result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of unused subscription time without refund.

5. Content and privacy

Input text is sent to third-party language and detection APIs for processing. We log a minimal usage event per request (timestamp, character count, score delta) for billing and abuse monitoring; we do not retain the full input text beyond the duration of the request unless you explicitly opt into history storage. 6. Fees, refunds, cancellation

Premium subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. A 7-day refund applies to your first subscription purchase only, provided you have not exceeded 10 rewrites in that period. Refund requests after that window are at our discretion.

7. Disclaimer of warranty

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, emptygpt's aggregate liability under these Terms is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email to account holders. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
